Carolyn McNamara founder of The McNamara Group, is ranked 2010’s top producing residential real estate agent in the High Desert with an annual sales volume of $37.3 million. This is the 12th time she has earned this distinction.
Real estate runs in her family. Carolyn grew up in the businesses, with her mother working as a broker for 35 years. She later discovered her maternal grandfather had also been a broker, and is proud to be the third generation in her family to be in the business.
Actively involved in the community and with the Associations of Realtors, Carolyn sits on many boards, and panels. She has been treasurer, secretary, and director of the Association of Realtors, and is currently their Education Commission chairperson. She sat on the Citizen’s Advocate Panel for 12 years, and was honorary mayor of Phelan for 2 years. She was also instrumental in putting on the PRCA rodeo for 4 years. She has also been appointed to the City Tax Assessors Appeals Board by the Board of Supervisors.
Her signature event is the annual Christmas party she holds in partnership with a local radio station, held in the Phelan Town Square and Stater Brother’s Center where they offer the local children pony rides, a bounce house, and wild animals. Even Santa stops by. Carolyn also participates in the Phelan Chamber of Commerce annual Halloween event as well because, as she points out, it’s tough to trick-or-treat in the desert, where the houses are so far apart.
Her community involvement drives much of her success. Carolyn attributes her achievements to the fact that she cares about her community, she cares about people, is honest, and has a good team. Her motto is Have a Client for Life. “The way I run my office, we all work as a team,” she says. And that’s a good team.
